Fashion Designer Contest Winners Announced for The Lane Style House

The Lane Style House launched in January with the goal of helping indie fashion designers access media exposure and promote their design careers, in addition to creating a convenient site for its stylists, editors, press and buyers to complete their fashion editing process.

Fashion designers become members to create an Online Showroom Page on The Lane Style House where they upload images of the finished design collections. The Lane Style House's users browse through showroom pages and request samples, rent items or purchase wholesale from the featured designers. After the editorial project or red carpet event is completed, The Lane Style House, assists its designers with obtaining available press clips.

Designer members are encourage to update their pages often to ensure that The Lane Style House's users are offered fresh options to choose from.

The Lane Style House launched a Fashion Designer Contest on Talenthouse, which closed on July 27, 2012. There were over 60 global submissions for the competition and boasted 4,638 public votes . The fashion designer contest produced The Lane Style House's choice winner(s) and the People's Choice, (highest voted), winners.

This project reached 1,213,586 people. Active designers averaged: +72 New Supporters +158 Shares & Comments +20,396 Social Reach

The Lane Style House's team agreed on the fashion designer winners, after an intense deliberation. Evgheni Hudorojcov & Natalia Rusu, fashion designers from Chisinau, Moldova, defeated their competition with their submitted collections, "Confessions" and "Rider on the rain". As the winners, both designers are entitled to a six month Premier Membership with The Lane Style House, including brand announcement, promotions and look book production.



Barbara Lane, creative director and co-founder of The Lane Style House, had this to say about the two winning collections, " Hudorojcov's "Confessions" collection is a timeless masterpiece. He has incorporated powerful sexy and glamour in his designs; that translates in a very feminine way. The dresses offer both an interesting visual without compromising the integrity of his design vision. I think Hudorojcov's collection will be highly desirable and many different women will desire to add his dresses to their wardrobe, as they are a perfect for parties and special occasions. Rusu's "Rider on the rain" collection is a beautiful contrast, uniquely urban and versatile. Natalia has a distinct design style, infusing rare cuts and garment shapes into her latest work. Rusu's collection is street chic and I can easily see her designs in London, New York or Tokyo."
